Socially Responsible Investing (SRI), Ethical Investing, Environmental Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Investing, Impact investing, Sustainable investing …
Although responsible investing goes by many different names and can vary in its emphasis, these variations all share the fundamental goal of incorporating social and environmental factors into the investment decision-making process.
At Domini, we focus exclusively on responsible investing:
Social, Environmental & Governance Standards
We use social and environmental standards to select our investments, helping us to identify future opportunities and reduce the many risks associated with irresponsible behavior.
We use our stock funds to talk to the companies we own, discussing everything from global climate change to sweatshop issues to making products in a safer way. Gradually, companies are coming to understand what we already know — that they can improve their behavior and still make a profit.
Community Development Investing
An investment approach that includes social and environmental standards—avoiding tobacco companies and weapons manufacturers, and investing in companies that act with respect toward the environment, their employees, and the community—can produce competitive investment returns.
Through wise investments, responsible investors are making a difference. We have launched a movement that we believe is essential to the process of building a cleaner, more peaceful future.
