As the climate crisis intensifies, it is crucial that we rapidly decarbonize the energy grid. Founded in 2006, Enphase delivers technology solutions that make clean energy more affordable, reliable, and accessible. The company’s primary products are microinverters—which make solar panels more efficient—and battery storage systems—which let individuals, businesses, and other operators use solar energy even when the sun isn’t shining.
Enphase’s innovations have bolstered the role of solar energy in the climate transition. It built the first solar microinverter that works during a power outage—a critical off-grid energy solution. It is a long-standing partner of the non-profit GRID Alternatives and has offset $40 million in energy costs for families in low-income housing. Further, Enphase has gone beyond refining just its energy systems. It has worked to make its manufacturing processes more efficient, recycling 90% of its total electronic waste each year.
