About the role:

  • The Senior Relationship Manager will have primary responsibility for Domini’s institutional sales and distribution efforts. Our successful candidate will lead sales activities with prospects and clients and work closely with the firm’s senior leaders to develop and implement Domini’s strategy for institutional business development, with the goal of driving positive net inflows across institutional channels and deepening client relationships.

What you will do:

  • Lead national sales efforts for the Domini Funds to drive growth and retention of assets under management from institutional investors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Domini’s institutional sales and business development strategy, including documenting and reporting on specific goals, actions, and KPIs.
  • Become an expert on Domini’s investment strategies, mutual fund vehicles and share class structures, broker-dealer platform availability, and distribution arrangements.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business leads and develop pipeline of sales prospects across distribution channels, including broker-dealer platforms, RIAs, family offices, consultants, pension plans, foundations/endowments, etc.
  • Convert prospects into clients by showcasing Domini’s leadership in impact investing, educating them on the Domini Funds, and demonstrating how we can uniquely serve their investment needs.
  • Lead sales and due diligence meetings with prospective and existing clients, traveling regularly and as needed to meet with prospects and clients in person.
  • Manage relationships and due diligence activities with manager research teams and gatekeepers to get the Domini Funds onto recommended lists and win model mandates.
  • Represent Domini and expand network through attendance at in-person and virtual industry events and conferences, including opportunistic speaking engagements. Help plan and manage the firm’s overall strategy for institutional events and sponsorships. 
  • Expand and deepen client relationships through regular and consistent communication and exceptional client service.
  • Collaborate across departments on sales materials (e.g., pitchbooks, RFI responses), institutional marketing communications, and thought leadership content.
  • Help maintain CRM database, including contact records, sales activity logs, and related reporting.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial services, ideally in sales and/or relationship management role
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 license and Series 63 license required
  • Readiness to travel frequently for client meetings and conferences
  • Highly motivated with a desire to take initiative and deliver results
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and professional networking skills
  • Strong presentation, public speaking, and writing skills
  • Perceptive, diligent, and organized, with a passion for delivering exceptional client service
  • Effective project management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment, strong integrity, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, and a passion for helping build a better world

  • The base compensation for this role is between $125,000 and $150,000.  Salary is based on factors such as experience, skills, etc. This role also offers an additional bonus based on individual, department and firm success.
